Our next meeting is at 7:00pm on Wednesday 21st at Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church, 3534 Lakeshore Avenue. The meeting is in Barnett Hall, up the driveway to the left of the main sanctuary building.
Our main topic will be a presentation by OakDOT (Oakland Department of Transportation) on the Grand Avenue Complete Streets Paving Project. Quoting from the OakDOT website, “In the Grand Lake segment of Grand Avenue, OakDOT is also proposing to remove one of the two vehicle lanes in the northbound direction (towards Piedmont) between Santa Clara / Lake Park Avenues and Mandana Boulevard. This right-sizing will allow for the installation of on-street painted bicycle lanes and retain angled parking on both sides of Grand Avenue in the Grand Lake Business District.”
